A family adopted a unique-looking puppy who didn’t seem to be bothered by her scars. It’s often challenging for animals with disfigurements to find a home in shelters, but this dog was fortunate enough to be taken in.
When Lisa, a 10-week-old puppy with scars and swollen eyes, was brought to the Humane Society of Silicon Valley, the staff thought it would be challenging to find her a loving home. However, things changed when Christine Doblar and her family came forward to adopt Lisa. The little pup had to undergo surgery to treat her injuries, but now she is safe and happy with her new family.
During the adoption process, Doblar’s daughters were concerned that someone else could take away the dog they had their heart set on. However, despite Lucky’s unique appearance, her personality was simply fantastic and she quickly won the family over. Although they looked at other dogs, none of them compared to the love and excitement that Lucky showed towards everyone she met. After returning the next day, the family officially adopted her and named her “Lucky”.
There’s a new furry resident in a California animal shelter who goes by the name Lisa. This 10-month-old pup has recently been surrendered to the shelter and is in need of a little bit of extra care. It’s heart-wrenching to see her face disfigured, and she will have to undergo eyelid surgery soon.
Finnegan Dowling from HSSV shared that Lisa’s appearance may not be appealing. As per the shelter staff, Lisa’s likelihood of being adopted is low.
However, everything changed when the Doblar family came into the picture. Christine’s charismatic personality stood out among the rest of the dogs they looked at. They searched for other options but couldn’t find a match to her charm. With mutual luck, they named her Lucky and adopted her on the same day. A touching video of a rescue dog from the Carson Shelter in Gardena, California, is bound to tug on your heartstrings if you have a soft spot for animals in distress.
