At the age of 18, a feline discovered her perfect family and now snuggles up with her human while sleeping.
Meet Bella, the adorable feline who found a new lease on life when she arrived at Best Friends Felines in Brisbane. This cat rescue was her last chance for a loving home after her owner passed away, and her family members were unable to care for her. Fortunately, the clinic reached out to Best Friends Felines, and volunteers quickly came to her rescue. Despite being 18 years old, Bella was in great health, and the team knew she deserved a happy retirement. After some time in temporary foster care, they found a long-term carer willing to give her a safe haven while searching for someone to adopt her in her golden years.
When Best Friends Felines rescued Bella, she was just 18 years old. According to them, at the vet, Bella was bewildered and distressed due to the sudden changes in her life. She was reacting by growling and hissing, which is quite understandable. However, things started to change for the better when she was on her way to her foster home. During the ride, she became much calmer and started chatting with her carer while also purring away while smooching her carer’s fingers through the carrier.
As she journeyed towards her foster home, Bella displayed a remarkable affability. However, her true colors shone through soon enough – she was not one for having fellow felines around, whether in her vicinity or dwelling. The switch flipped the moment she was separated from other cats, transforming her into an amiable, affectionate, and docile cat. With so much love to offer, Bella deserves a secure and peaceful retirement abode.
It was evident that Bella was a genuine lone ranger feline. After a thorough check-up, the veterinarian found that Bella only required the removal of one tooth. Despite her age, she was in excellent shape, which was a testament to her owner’s fantastic care. The rescue organization aimed to find a suitable long-term foster home for her, where she could be the sole cat. Roslyn, who was more than happy to take in the senior kitty, warmly welcomed her into her home.
Best Friends Felines shared that Bella, a senior cat, has a lot of love to offer and deserves to find a caring forever home. According to the rescue, Bella initially appeared uninterested in her new environment and would leave whenever Roslyn, her caregiver, entered the room. However, after a few days, Bella showed a newfound appreciation for human interaction and approached Roslyn for affection with her adorable vocalizations and by accepting pets and head rubs.
One day, @bestfriendsfelines stumbled upon Roslyn and everything changed for the sweet girl named Bella. Roslyn was ecstatic to have made a breakthrough with Bella and fell in love with her. From that moment on, Bella’s life took a turn for the better and she now spends her days snuggled up on Roslyn’s bed, hand and paw intertwined. With Roslyn by her side, Bella has finally found a place she can call home and enjoys the peace and quiet of her new surroundings.
Roslyn has officially adopted Bella, the little feline that she couldn’t bear to let go. The rescue organization, Best Friends Felines, received the happy news five weeks after Bella’s rescue. The staff at the rescue were thrilled when they found out that Roslyn wanted to adopt Bella. According to the rescue, Roslyn shared on their page that Bella likes to take a nap after her dinner, which is served promptly at 5:30 pm. Roslyn feels lucky to have Bella, who she considers to be very precious.
Bella has the luxury of being able to nap all day long on her owner’s comfy bed.
