Canines are universally known to be the ultimate companion of humans. In southern Brazil, a particular litter of puppies showed an exceptional level of loyalty when they followed their leader, a homeless man, to the hospital.
César, an unidentified man, and a group of dogs crossed paths while they were all living on the streets of Rio do Sul. César became quite popular among the stray dogs as he often shared his own meals with them. Although one might think that the dogs stuck around for the food, a touching image proves otherwise.
Late one night, César arrived at the emergency room of the Regional Alto Vale Hospital in Rio do Sul. A peculiar sight was witnessed by Nurse Cris Mamprim, who saw four dogs waiting patiently outside the entrance while César was being treated inside. When she learned that these dogs were César’s loyal companions, she took a photo and shared it on Facebook. The image quickly gained popularity, touching the hearts of many.
Besides sharing César’s story, Mamprim also advised readers not to judge others who have overcome adversity. She emphasized the importance of having humble companions who rely on help to survive in a world filled with hunger, coldness, pain, and wickedness. Mamprim admired the love and respect that César had for his animals, but she refrained from judging his circumstances or life on the streets. Instead, Mamprim acknowledged the loving care that César provided for his furry friends, evident in their eagerness to greet him at the door.
Luckily for the dogs, they didn’t have to wait for too long. César came back within an hour, and was welcomed by four enthusiastic wagging tails.
