Picasso’s story began when he and his brother were brought to a shelter because their original owner struggled to care for them. Upon Picasso’s arrival at his new abode, a tragic incident befell his beloved sibling—a puppy that perished all of a sudden due to an aneurysm. Dealing with the sudden loss of his brother, Picasso found solace and support in his new adoptive mother. Under her nurturing care, Picasso has blossomed into an incredibly affectionate, empathetic, and lovable canine companion who exceeds all expectations. Embracing his unique attributes, Picasso now dedicates himself to assisting individuals in need, particularly disabled children, humans, and even fellow canines, as a remarkable therapy animal.
One day, Luma arrived home with noticeable deformities in all four limbs, causing her to move like a tiny sea turtle. Initially, the plan was to bring her to a rescue facility with the hope of providing physical therapy to improve her mobility. Despite her disabilities, Luma appreciates all the love and affection she receives. However, upon taking X-rays, it was discovered that her deformities were even more severe than anticipated. The X-rays revealed deformities in her shoulders, elbows, and wrists, making it impossible for any form of physiotherapy to enable her to walk. Despite the grim diagnosis, Liesl, Luma’s caretaker, was determined not to give up on her.
In an attempt to get Luma moving, Liesl experimented with different wheelchairs. However, after numerous attempts, they discovered that Luma was most content when she propelled herself on her own. It turns out that Luma thoroughly enjoys moving around on her belly and has no difficulties doing so. As a result, Luma and Picasso have become inseparable companions. These two adorable puppies find immense joy in each other’s company and appreciate their kind-hearted rescuer.
