After receiving support from the local police, APAI Belém, an independent organization responsible for caring for around 30 cats and dogs in Belém, Pará, was finally able to take in a poor animal who had suffered years of cruelty and neglect. Thanks to their efforts, the animal received a thorough shower and a much-needed general health check.
